Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 40,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

We are looking for dedicated system engineers for our Public Transport business unit who are interested in varied tasks in an international environment and who want to play an active role in opening up new markets.

Key Tasks
  • You implement our Frequentis solution from installation, configuration, integration to acceptance at the customer's site 
  • You support the customer during the nationwide rollout
  • You elicit the customer's requirements for the integration of our solution and, based on this, create an IT concept and implement it
  • You are the internal interface to our experts (e.g. software development)
  • You are responsible for the site acceptance and factory acceptance tests and are the technical contact person on site
  • You also take over maintenance tasks in the team including a 24/7 hotline

Key Qualifications
  • You have a technical education with IT or telecommunication focus (HTL/FH/TU degree)
  • Ideally you have 3-5 years of professional experience in system engineering, network technology or system administration
  • You have good network and IT infrastructure skills (focus on Linux servers, VoIP, virtualization, monitoring, deployment, CISCO network components) 
  • In the best case you already had first contact with the GSM-R system
  • You have experience in error analysis with signaling protocols
  • You have a quick grasp and an analytical mindset
  • Additionally, you enjoy traveling to our customers (about 40% per year)
  • Your English skills are very good, and maybe you also speak French?

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 35565
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
