Job Introduction
Frequentis Group, with headquarters in Vienna, is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with 45,000 workstations already trust our know-how and many years of experience.

In our trainee programme we offer HTL and Bachelor graduates as well as career changers with a focus on IT and network technology the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of engineering. During the 8-month programme, we offer an all-round insight and enable numerous trainings, the exchange with experienced employees, the insight and direct collaboration in several teams (a total of 2-3 rotations) and the regular exchange with other participants.

After successful completion, you will receive a permanent employment contract and implement innovative solutions (e.g. remote tower) in our exciting customer environments.

The trainee programme starts in September 2024.
Key Tasks
During the trainee programme: 
  • Participation in internal training (e.g. technologies, dealing with the customer, Frequentis products) remotely or on site.
  • Rotation through several teams and participation in the implementation of our communication and information systems
  • First independent tasks (configuration, testing, support of system integration)
  • Possibly first business trips
  • Supporting the system engineering teams with IT knowhow
After completion of the trainee programme as a system engineer:
  • Participation in the implementation of our communication and information systems
  • Configuration of hardware and software components
  • Identification of customer requirements and technical testing
  • Carrying out system tests including fault isolation and reporting
  • Accompanying system integrations and customer acceptances around the globe
Key Qualifications
  • Completed HTL/college or bachelor's degree with focus on IT or network technology.
  • Educational knowledge in the areas of: Linux, Windows, virtualisation, scripting languages, VoIP and networks
  • First work experience and certifications (e.g. CCNA) advantageous
  • Ready for new technical challenges and new technologies
  • Good command of English and German, Spanish language skills are an advantage
  • Open personality that attaches great importance to high quality
  • Independent and responsible way of working
  • Willingness to travel for customer acceptance (20-40% per year)

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 36.000 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
