Job Introduction

Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 40,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

We are looking for committed System Engineers for the Public Safety business unit who are interested in varied tasks in an international environment and are actively involved in opening up new markets.

Key Tasks

You implement our Frequentis solution in an operations and control center, from installation, configuration, and error analysis to acceptance at the customer's site
You integrate the third-party systems required in the project (e.g. IP telephony, digital radio, monitoring, logging and backup systems, ...)
You support the site acceptance and factory acceptance tests
Depending on the project, you adapt the solution with your know-how in the areas of servers, VoIP, Cisco, network components, virtualization and Wireshark accordingly
You are the interface to our experts (e.g. software development) and the technical contact person on site
You are the technical support for the customer during the rollout

Key Qualifications

You have a technical education with IT or telecommunication focus (HTL/FH/TU degree)
Ideally you have at least 1 year of professional experience in system engineering, network technology or system administration
You have good network and IT infrastructure skills (focus on Windows servers, virtualization, monitoring, Ansible, CISCO network components) as well as error analysis using Wireshark and log files
You already have experience with VoIP technologies like SIP and RTP
Additionally you enjoy traveling to our customers (about 25-30% per year)
Your German and English skills are very good
You have a structured way of working and an analytical mindset
