Key Tasks

You are part of an engineering team and are responsible for the technical specification, setup, integration and acceptance of a system at the customer's site.
In the context of projects, you are THE technical contact person for our customers (ongoing projects in different continents, e.g. North and South America).
You will configure and set up standard IT and network components as well as Frequentis products in a safety-critical environment.
You will be responsible for clarifying technical feasibility, helping to design the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective.
As a communication hub, you will coordinate internal and external suppliers, e.g. from the documentation, testing and software development departments.
You will conduct acceptance tests with customers, the project team and other important stakeholders both at the headquarters in Vienna and on site at the customer's site.

Key Qualifications

You have first relevant professional experience as a system engineer or system administrator, ideally about 3 years.
Your technical background is in the field of IT (OS, network), regardless of whether you are an apprentice, graduate or career changer.
You have experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3) and ideally knowledge of protocols (UDP, TCP, multicast).
You have practical experience with Linux, knowledge of telecommunication interfaces and protocols is an advantage.
You enjoy working with customers and are willing to travel internationally approximately 25% of the time.
Due to our international customer relationships, we require a very good level of English, any other foreign language is an advantage (especially Portuguese or Spanish).

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 44000
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
