System Safety Engineer (all genders)
- Planning and implementation of safety and reliability programs to accompany product development
- Planning and implementation of safety and reliability programs for international customers as a basis for the respective national safety approval
- Direct contact person for safety-related aspects for our customers and, if necessary, also for authorities in the context of international projects
- Processing of offers with regard to specific safety and RAM requirements
- Application of safety analysis methods: e.g., functional/software/hardware failure modes and effects analyses, fault tree analyses, reliability block diagrams, software SIL/SWAL/AL analyses and evaluations, common cause analyses, safety case
- Review of international regulatory and standard requirements for their applicability to Frequentis products and, based on this, continuous further development of safety methods
- Supporting the Frequentis Group's global subsidiaries in defining and implementing safety and reliability programs
- Consulting internal development departments and project groups on increasing safety and reliability
- Defining and promoting measures to increase system safety, e.g., group-wide hazard log
- Conducting and participating in internal and external audits
- Conducting internal training courses as part of the company-wide Safety Academy
- Promoting a safety-critical corporate culture
- Representing the company in international expert groups and professional circles, e.g., CANSO, EASA, ISSS
- Completed degree in a STEM field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a safety-related field, system engineering, or software development
- Experience with international standards for functional safety, e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and EU regulations, is an advantage
- Ideally, in-depth knowledge of functional safety and experience with safety analyses (e.g., FMEA, FTA) at the system and/or software architecture level
- Very good English skills, German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development
- Strong teamwork skills
