Job Introduction

Voice communication is crucial for any air traffic control service: uninterrupted, round-the-clock communication is a fundamental requirement. The Air Traffic Management (ATM) Voice Solutions business unit defines, develops and distributes the market-leading voice product portfolio to our global customers. With the new X10 voice communication solution, we are opening the next chapter in the transformation of air traffic management communication into IT services. 

Technologies/tools: Docker knowledge, Network Technologies and Protocols, Wireshark, Ticketing (Jira), Requirement & Test Management tools, Management Tools, Linux and virtualization, Log monitoring (e.g. Kibana), Basic Java knowledge, Selenium knowledge, Oscilloscope, WAN emulation tools, Multimeter, Frequency Generator, Test Automation tool usage, nice to have: NESSUS for vulnerability scans

Key Tasks
  • Perform thorough integration testing to reveal risks and inconsistencies across components, ensuring robust failure management at the system level. 
  • Design and perform meaningful tests that reveal valuable information about the product’s behavior
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to understand what matters most
  • Investigate bugs deeply, ask tough questions and help the team understand the impact of issues
  • Use tools and automation where they add value
  • Communicate clearly and document about what was tested, how it was tested and what was learned, what passed or failed
Key Qualifications
  • You have a degree in network engineering, communications engineering, or software development.
  • You have several years of experience in testing—ideally in integration or system testing.
  • You bring strong technical skills, think analytically, and enjoy solving problems.
  • You work in a structured way and know how to prioritize tasks and coordinate with others.
  • You’re willing to travel occasionally (about 10–15%) and have excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
  • You’re curious about testing, ask questions, and speak up when something doesn’t seem right.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 45,208 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
