Job Introduction

Voice and data communication is crucial for any air traffic control service. Our Independent Verification & Validation Team is responsible for the independent evaluation of the developed product and project solutions. Its primary task is the technical quality assurance of our systems, using various methods of verification and validation (Acceptance, Use Cases, Operational Scenarios…). 

Within the Independent Verification & Validation Team, the customer is at the center of attention — ensuring that the required solutions in the safety‑critical field of air traffic management are evaluated in the best possible way, assessed independently, and that the release process on the part of product development and project execution is supported to the highest standard.
Key Tasks
  • Design, review and refine test strategies, test plans and test specifications based on project and product requirements as well as system design and architecture. 
  • Execute system tests in complex environments (incl. Acceptance Verification, Use Case Validation). 
  • Work with lifecycle tools such as JIRA, JAMA and automation frameworks to ensure efficient testing processes. 
  • Document and communicate test progress clearly, from requirements through execution to final results and create independent quality reports. 
  • Lead and perform system acceptances, both internally and together with customers in Vienna (factory acceptance) and on-site for final acceptance. 
  • Review system and user requirements and contribute your technical perspective to ensure clarity and quality.
Key Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in testing, verification and validation of complex projects or product developments. 
  • Experience with integration projects in IT and telecommunications environments. 
  • Completed technical education (HTL/FH/University). 
  • ISTQB certification is an advantage. 
  • Strong social and communication skills, collaborative, connecting, and a reliable team player. 
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken) are required; good German skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to approx. 10%.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 46,202 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
