Job Introduction

Our Defence strategic business area offers customers systems and solutions for air traffic control and air defence applications as well as for civil emergency management systems.

As a Technical Solution Manager (all genders), you are a technical interface between customers, project management, sales, software development, and system engineering when it comes to our communication and information solutions. Your main responsibilities include collecting, elaborating and aligning customer requirements, creating concepts and technical solutions and ensuring successful acceptance by the end customer. We look forward to your support in the Delivery Team Defence, working with our key account, the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr).

Technologies: virtualization with VMware, KVM, operating systems including Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, routing and switching with Cisco, monitoring with Zabbix, IT security, VoIP, and Active Directory


Key Tasks
  • You capture and structure customer requirements and translate them into clear and actionable specifications for the development and engineering teams. 
  • You design technical concepts and solutions and write system specifications for one of Frequentis’ largest key accounts. 
  • You evaluate technical solutions for our customer, taking into account all risks related to safety and IT security. 
  • You present complex solutions in a clear and understandable way to customers and management. 
  • You act as the main point of contact for all technical matters and ensure seamless technical documentation. 
  • Final alignment of the concept with internal system specialists and software developers completes your range of responsibilities.
Key Qualifications
  • You have a technical education with a focus on IT/telecommunications and/or have already gained several years of experience in an interface role within IT/software customer projects. 
  • Ideally, you possess broad general knowledge in the areas of networking, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows, VMware, and VoIP. 
  • In addition to strong English skills, we require excellent German skills due to collaboration with our German-speaking customer. 
  • You enjoy finding solutions in coordination with the customer and internal departments and are willing to undertake occasional business trips to Germany. 
  • You work in a team-oriented and structured manner and demonstrate a confident and professional presence.

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 47,207 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
