Frequentis has the expertise to merge applications into a converged IP infrastructure, manage safety-critical applications in a dedicated virtual centre solution and integrate multiple technologies from many providers.
Key Tasks
  • You are part of an engineering team and are responsible for the technical solution in a customer project.
  • Ensuring the successful implementation according to the delivery project milestones
  • You are the technical contact person for our customers and internal interfaces (ongoing projects in different continents e.g. Europe, North and South America).
  • You are responsible for leading the overall system design, set up and configuration of the system architecture of standard IT and network components as well as Frequentis products in a safety-critical environment.
  • You analyse customer requirements and translate them into system requirements in order to be able to evaluate the technical feasibility of the final design. Technical risk management, including security and safety aspects, is also one of your tasks
  • Steering and clarifying the detailed customer use-cases for zero gap implementation in R&D
  • You are responsible for clarifying technical feasibility, helping to design the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective.
  • You have experience of working with and leading a technical team to ensure that projects are successfully completed through efficient problem solving.
  • Through close co-operation and coordination with the commercial project manager, you can successfully lead your team of system engineers spread through the whole world and ensure the success of the project.

Key Qualifications
  • Completed technical education HTL/FH/TU
  • At least 10 years of experience as top expert in an IT/Software/telecommunication area in delivery projects (ideally as a System Engineer, Technical Solution Manager, System Architect)
  • Your technical background is in IT (Linux, virtualization and container technologies, SIP/RTP for Voice Communication, Network technology – solid understanding on design, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, Monitoring tools e.g Zabbix, ELK, OpenSearch)
  • Experience in mission critical, IT Security, Safety related domain is advantage
  • Network certification CompTIA, Cisco certification is advantage
  • General passion for IT, automation and devops
  • Background in ATM area is a plus
  • Communicative and open minded to understand the customer needs
  • Very good social and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of financial aspects
  • Strives for a holistic understanding of system functionality and interdependencies to ensure system health and scalability.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide up to 30%

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 50,055 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
