Job Introduction

By bringing the available building blocks together in one tailored network solution, we can achieve this as part of an IP-based solution or within a hybrid environment. Frequentis has the expertise to merge applications into a converged IP infrastructure, manage safety-critical applications in a dedicated solution and integrate multiple technologies from many providers (e.g., MPLS, microwave, VSAT) into a homogenous end-to-end network solution.

Key Tasks

You are part of an engineering team and are responsible for the technical solution in a customer project.
You are the technical contact person for our customers and internal interfaces (ongoing projects in different continents e.g. North and South America).
You are responsible for leading the design, set up and configuration of the system architecture of standard IT and network components as well as Frequentis products in a safety-critical environment.
You analyse customer requirements and translate them into system requirements in order to be able to evaluate the technical feasibility of the final design. Technical risk management, including security and safety aspects, is also one of your tasks.
You are responsible for clarifying technical feasibility, helping to design the system architecture and optimising the system from a cost-benefit perspective.
You have experience of working with and leading a technical team to ensure that projects are successfully completed through efficient problem solving.
Through close co-operation and coordination with the commercial project manager, you can successfully lead your team of system engineers and ensure the success of the project.

Key Qualifications

You have completed technical training with an IT or telecommunications focus and have at least 8 years of experience in an interface function with a high technical focus (e.g. as a system engineer, technical solution manager, technical project manager, system architect).
Your technical background is in IT (Linux, network), you have experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3) and ideally knowledge of protocols (UDP, TCP, multicast).
You enjoy working with customers and are willing to travel internationally approximately 25% of the time.
Due to our international customer relationships, we require a very good command of English, any other foreign language is an advantage (especially Portuguese or Spanish).

Salary

The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 43,553 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
