Job Introduction
Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 40,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

Unmanned aerial vehicles are on the rise and their use will increase rapidly in the coming years. Frequentis recognised the challenges of Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) early on and is responding to them with innovative solutions. These allow airports and air navigation service providers, but also customers in other industries such as public safety or infrastructure operators, to use drones professionally, efficiently and safely to fulfil their tasks. These solutions are available both on-site and in the cloud. We have already successfully implemented customer projects both in Austria and internationally.

Key Tasks
  • You are responsible for creating technical concepts and solutions in the project environment.
  • You always ensure compliance with technical customer requirements. 
  • You are the technical decision maker for concept, design and structure of a (project) solution and contact person for technical issues. 
  • In addition to creating the design/architecture of a system solution, including feasibility checks, you are also in the position of documenting it technically.
  • You have the overall view of the individual project solutions (requirements, effort estimates, resource management) and contribute your technical expertise while planning and budgeting the projects.  
  • You are responsible for technical risk management including security and safety aspects. 
  • You accompany the final customer acceptance of the technical solution and are the technical interface to the customer.

Key Qualifications
  • Technical education with focus on IT/telecommunications (HTL, TU, FH) with several years of professional experience in an interface function in the IT/software customer project business (e.g., as System Architect, Solution Consulting, Technical Solution Manager)
  • Good generalist knowledge in the areas of networks, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows, VMWare, storage, and databases. The entire solution is cloud and Kubernetes based
  • Business fluent in German and English; any other language would be an advantage
  • Pleasure in finding solutions in coordination with the customer and internal departments 
  • Team-oriented as well as confident and representative appearance with negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel to the extent of approx. 25%

Annual Gross Salary from
EUR 39647
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
