Job Introduction

In the role of Test Manager, you will plan and be responsible for the entire test project in the field of military air traffic control. You will use high-quality test procedures to ensure the testability of requirements in customer projects, with an appropriate, calculable and plannable amount of effort. 

You will be responsible for carrying out internal and external system tests, including the necessary documentation. Together with your team, you will take on the entire testing process, right through to the acceptance of the technical solution in the Control Centre Solutions, thereby making a valuable contribution to a safer world for our key customer, the German Armed Forces.

If you are passionate about defence/military air traffic control and have general IT knowledge as well as IT training, we look forward to receiving your application. 

Technologies/tools: Windows, Linux, network technologies, virtualisation, Jama, automated/manual testing, ISTQB certification.  
Key Tasks
  • Ensure all project and product development goals are met on schedule.
  • Plan and define the methodological approach for testing.
  • Analyze requirements and use cases for testability and assign them to test phases.
  • Create test plans, ensure complete test specifications, and plan the test environment.
  • Analyze processes to improve quality.
  • Provide tool support and manage the test team to relieve project managers.
  • Report test status and progress using key metrics.
Key Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in testing
  • Completed IT training with a focus on one of these areas: network technology, communications engineering or software development 
  • Jama knowledge an advantage
  • Strong technical skills, analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
  • Team-oriented and communicative personality
  • Very good German skills and good English skills
  • Willingness to travel around 20% of the time

Salary
The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 42.,592 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
