Job Introduction
Frequentis AG with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with 35.000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

In our trainee program we offer HTL and Bachelor graduates with a focus on IT or network technology the opportunity to dive into the world of engineering. In the 8 months of the programme we offer an all-round insight and enable numerous Trainings (technologies, social skills, products), the knowledge sharing with experienced mentors (during work and events), the look inside several teams (2-3 rotations in total) and the close collaboration with other participants. Since we provide you with the latest IT equipment, you can also easily attend the program in your home office.

Following the successful completion of the program, you will receive a permanent employment contract and implement innovative solutions (e.g. Remote Tower) in our fascinating customer environment (e.g. Public Safety or Air Traffic Management).

The trainee program will start in June 2022.
Key Tasks
The trainee program:
  • Participation in in-house courses (technologies, dealing with customers, Frequentis products,...) remote or at the office 
  • Rotation through several teams and collaboration in the implementation of our communication and information systems
  • Beginning your own tasks (configuration, testing, accompanying system integrations, possibly your first business trips)
  • Support of the System Engineer Teams with IT-Know How


After the trainee program as system engineer:
  • Collaboration in the implementation of our communication and information systems 
  • Configuration of hardware and software components 
  • Recognition of customer requirements and technical testing 
  • Execution of system tests incl. troubleshooting and error reporting 
  • Support of system integrations and customer approvals around the globe 
Key Qualifications
  • Completed HTL/college or Bachelor studies, focus on IT and networks engineering 
  • Educational knowledge in the areas: Linux, Windows, virtualization, script languages, VoIP protocol and networks, English 
  • First internships and certifications (e.g. CCNA) preferable 
  • Ready for new technical challenges and high quality awareness 
  • Open personality with pleasure in independent work with new technologies 
  • Independent and responsible way of working
  • Willingness to travel to our customers worldwide (20-40% per year)

Gross annual salary from
EUR 31000
This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
