Job Introduction

Key Tasks

Significant cooperation in the creation of a comprehensive concept for Supply Chain Management (SCM) and embedding of purchasing processes
Development of the global corporate purchasing strategy and implementation of the measures to be defined
Management and control of the national & global purchasing teams (IT hardware & software, product groups, external resources, subcontractor-management) in close cooperation with the respective departments
Preparation, management and conclusion of negotiations with suppliers and cooperation partners for high-quality purchasing projects and tenders
Creation of synergies through/as well as further development of structures, systems and processes in strategic purchasing, e.g. through continuous improvement of IT purchasing tools, e-Sourcing
Access to Intellectual Property, Services... contractually secure and identify and realize cost reduction potentials on the purchasing side
Increase efficiency and synergies across all purchasing areas and define and adhere to the corresponding KPI's as well as conduct make-or-buy analyses

Key Qualifications

Completed business administration or technical studies
Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing in an internationally operating company in the manufacturing industry
Very good business management know-how and distinctive technical understanding
Management or leadership experience built up in a comparable position or in a team or group management in strategic purchasing
Experience in negotiating large contracts in English and knowledge of contract law
Ideally experience in the development of concepts, strategies as well as decision documents under consideration of corporate and economic principles
Willingness to undertake occasional business trips at home and abroad
Experience in setting up an integrated supply chain management system
Comprehensive know-how of modern tools for controlling national and international suppliers as well as knowledge of different product groups
Comprehensive know-how in the development of structures and processes in a global context
Very good knowledge of English and IT (MS Office, SAP), any other foreign languages would be advantageous
