Job Introduction

Frequentis AG with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. In our Public Safety business area we support customers such as police, fire brigade, rescue services and thus contribute to public safety.

The Public Safety business area of our branch in Langen/Germany is one of the strategic growth areas of Frequentis. Around the world, thousands of dispatchers from the BOS (police, fire brigade/rescue services) and industrial safety organisations manage operations every day to support people in difficult situations. They rely on our systems technology in the command and control centres.

As Presales Engineer / IT-Specialist you and your team will accompany the process from the preparation of the offer to the handover to the order processing. You will also provide support in the preparation and implementation of customer demonstrations and trade fair appearances.

Key Tasks

Technical responsibility in tender projects
Development of technical concepts, especially for SW-based communication solutions, IT infrastructure and integration of peripheral systems in the sales phase
Conception of connections to telephony (ISDN, VoIP) and radio systems (TETRA, LTE)
Preparation of technical descriptions, calculations, feasibility studies, etc.
Technical consulting of the customer and internal departments, especially with regard to IT technology of a control center
Interface in the offer process between sales, product management and suppliers
Holding technical presentations at the customer's premises

Key Qualifications

Completed technical training in the field of IT, communications and telecommunications engineering
Job starters and career starters welcome
Experience in similar positions (e.g. presales, systems engineering or product management) desirable
good knowledge of the IT and telecommunications industry
Market knowledge in the area of BOS / control centre technology desirable
Business fluent German, good English language skills
Ability to work in a team and commitment
Affinity for independent familiarization with new software and hardware systems
Travel time 30%
